So you bought this NA for $4900 and you're trying to get $8k for the same high mileage car with a broken clutch? It doesn't matter whether you say it's broken or not (depends on whether you want to try and screw your buyer). Apparently any mechanic can spot that it is broken without investing too much time and effort. So if someone decides to take your car to a mechanic, the first thing they'll find is all kinds of recent work done and a nonfunctional clutch (which would be another $700 or so to fix). It sounds like you have hit most of the local transmission places, who will recognize this car if a potential buyer comes to them and asks if it's worth 8 grand. IMHO, you'd just be wasting someone's time. Maybe you can get $5k for the car and buy a cheaper car. No one else will pay for your misfortune (at least, no one who knows anything about 300ZX's).
